A Stage of Life - A One Act Play Season
‘Hot Spots’ by Pauline Davies

‘ Impromptu’ by Tad Mosel
Director – Suzanne Matulich
This play will take you on a thought-provoking journey as four actors struggle to perform a play that is life; learning about themselves and each other along the way. They sit on a darkened stage, awaiting the arrival of the stage manager who has called them together. As they wait, the stage lights come up - but still no one appears to tell them what they are to do. They know only that they are not to leave the stage until they have "acted out the play."
An intriguing play in the absurdist style, Impromptu will leave you with questions that may not be able to be answered.
‘Establishing New Relations’ by Ian Pullar
Director – Ian Pullar
After some uncertainty about whose home they are supposed to be dining in, Cat and Tom Marshall set off to meet distant cousins who have moved to Queensland . As soon as they have gone, a couple of burglars move in. When Cat and Tom return unexpectedly, the burglars, with the help of a family tree prominently displayed on the wall, adopt the personae of the cousins with somewhat confusing results.
A light-hearted treatment of an awkward situation from our prolific local playwright
